Rena Aeration Starter Kit $7.99 ACC470643 The Rena Aeration kit includes everything to get your air pump up and running with nothing extra to buy. The kit consists of 10 ft of high-grade vinyl air line tubing, 3/4" air diffuser, adjustable flow control valve and "Y" connector. The RenaCer Microbubblers are made of ceramic baked at 1800 degrees which produces smaller pores for smaller air bubbles. The bubbles produced are a fine mist and can replace limewood type air diffusers in protein skimmers and other applications where very fine bubbles work best. The ceramic material will last for years and will outlast any molded or wood diffuser. Calcium build-up may be removed by soaking in common household vinegar. The diffusers come in three sizes and can be attached end to end for bubble curtain effects. Each unit comes complete with heavy-duty rubber suction cup and 3/16" tubing barb. These units perform best if used with higher quality air pumps such as the Rena Air series which operate at higher pressure than cheaper air pumps.

This type system is more reliable than the economy check valves most often sold in the aquarium hobby. Check valves should be used on air pumps to prevent the siphoning of aquarium water into the air pump in event of power interruption.
