The canister replacement for the Rena Filstar XP4 external canister filter consists of the outer canister, inner filter baskets and rubber feet. To avoid breaking the canister brackets when attaching and closing the top of the filter to the canister always start with an empty canister and let the aquarium fill the canister. Make sure when replacing the basket assembly that the basket is lined up and nested to each other correctly. Also make sure the basket assembly is seated properly in the bottom of the canister. Failure to do so will result in broken clip(s) or broken bracket(s)on the canister itself.

The replacement tubing for the Rena XP Filters consists of two 5 foot lengths. These two tubes are the
original tubing that comes with the XP1, XP3 and XP4.
The inner diameter is 16mm and the outer is 21mm. This is approximately 5/8" id by 3/4" od. This tubing
is specially formulated for use with the Rena Filstar XP filter system. It does not contain any chemicals that
can leech into the tank and cause pollution. The tubing is also formulated with a high silicone content to remain
soft and pliable for a longer period of time while not kinking.
